Macon Electric Foundation ScholarshipDue Date: March 24, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. 8- $500.00 scholarships available Eligibility: This scholarship is for MEC members or PWSD of Macon County customers who have signed up for Operation Round Up only. Please encourage your students that Operation Round Up is a voluntary program for members, but it is an average donation of 50 cents per month on the parent’s electric bill. Insuring Rural Communities ScholarshipThe Insuring Rural Communities Scholarship will be provided to students from rural areas in Missouri and Illinois who are pursuing certificates or undergraduate degrees in information technology, health care, or risk management. As many as 15 students will be selected and awarded annually. This scholarship is renewable through graduation or up to ten semesters, and is available in amounts up to $5,000 per academic year.To be eligible to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:· Be a permanent resident for at least two years of a region outside a metropolitan area. Eligible counties are those not included in the official metropolitan statistical area as defined by the United States Census Bureau.
